Introductory blog!

Hello!

My name is Niamh Crowley, and this is my first blog of Digital Economy. In this first blog, I will give a brief overview of digital economy and of me!

The activity that arises from billions of regular internet connections between individuals, companies, devices and data is known as the "digital economy." The way people work and interact with one another has changed significantly because of the digital economy. These effects are seen in several economic, social, and cultural domains.

Let me now introduce myself! My name is Niamh Crowley. I am in fourth year of Bachelor of Business honours degree, where I am specialising in Accountancy. I’ve always had an interest in accountancy, and I believe that people should choose to pursue their passions! I finished my five months of work placement with the auditing firm EY in Waterford during the second semester of my third year of study.

I had a great time working at EY and gained a lot of knowledge about auditing, which I believe will help me when I complete the second module of auditing in semester two of fourth year. I had the great fortune to be offered a graduate programme position by them, which I gladly accepted and will start in September of next year.

I am an active person. I enjoy playing Camogie. I am a past member of the Waterford camogie county panel, which I was on for 5 years, where I met a lot of friends and picked up alot of skills. I also enjoy baking in my free time. Here are some images of cakes I’ve created!

I hope you enjoy reading my blogs as much as I like writing them! I'm excited to find out more about the digital economy and how quickly it's developing in the modern world!

Till next time,

Niamh!
